THE START

After of a long waiting , as the shipments from Germany takes long time to arrive in Greece.

finally the windshield is here .

The basic tools for the Job was special Jig saw blades ( Plexiglas and lexan)

Blue tape ... The special about it , its that it does not let glue on the glass when it is removed.

And one orbital sander , so to make ( professionally smooth ) the edges of the windshield .

White marker . (Made in Japan)

In my armory :-) , I had one spare cowl , that I use it as model .

I had to cut the side sides more ... my UFO hand protectors, was causing problems , so I had to make some extra room for them too.

The smile of success !! Yes the first fight with the windshield ended victorius.

NEXT STOP - INSTALLATION - FINE TUNING

There is no need to say that this is the most critical part of the story.

My first installation attempt , was made by setting the inclination of the windshield from the pictures that I had see in the web .

The upcome was , that the windshield worked fine, but I started to get pressurized air at my face and actually at my eyes level and lower .

I did some test driving , and I realized how the windshield behaves, I had to change the angle so to change the direction of the air , so to move this high pressure wave a bit higher , like the top of my helmet .

One second and final round of modifications started again .

A bit of theory

The next draw represents the air waves that the windshield distorts , the upcome are, that they change direction and they become more powerful .

The wave with the Green line is the most power full , that’s why we need to be at ours eye level and over , for keeping our helmet well ventilated and the helmet windshield clean from rain.

The Blue line is the Green line , when we have set the windshield at WRONG angle , the air comes directly in your eyes and neck , causing lots of stress to you, and extra noise.

Back .. in my project

I constructed this aluminum brackets ( hard aluminum) , and I got also lucky finding this special clips with bolt on ability ( from an old Italian scooter) .

Here is how they look , this picture is taken before the painting , as I paint them black .
