I have a dream !!

To make this exhaust ( muffler ) to look better , and redirect the air mass in to a lower direction ,  its not a good idea  , any one who stands behind me, to get the air mass directly at his face .

Part 2 .... Making the base .

Part three ... making the final piece  .. in Greek called as bouka !!

There are many tasks happening at the same time ,  I am painting things , waiting them to dry , at the same time making the muffler ,  or  assembling parts .

New silicone mini pipes  everywhere  , the old one was destroyed because of age .

How to ... internal tank pad shield .

The material that I use its not common rubber , its special rubber that I found it , insulating the motor of one air condition .

In other words , it can survive in high temps . 

Completion of the muffler end part .

Dear friends , the completion of the basic rebuild, it is a fact .

Now the AX-1 haves to pass several tests in the real world .

 

This night was the first that I actually ride it , the feelings could not be described , I took it and I did a ride of 3 Km ,  the brakes was perfect , the  rear suspension too , the acceleration of the motorcycle was like to was traveling with a rocket , the engine was very powerful , and after the 6000 RPM the engine showed its real power .

I did not run  over  80Km/h , I was afraid , I had long time to ride it , and also I had the fake feeling that the engine was from glass , and if I push it too hard,  it could possible break .. everything was in my imagination, but I could not  reject this feeling , I had to trust my creation from the start , I will need some time for this to happen .

 All this months , my AX-1 log  , was posted on one Greek forum , the thread of the AX-1 rebuild got as  33000 views  ....  I got congratulations from many people , and some wanted passionate to meet me .

 

The most passionate was Panagiotis , he is from my home town , but he has lives permanently in   Milos island ,  he found about me in the forum ,  and in his first visit in our home town , he came to find me .

 

In the beginning , we was two strangers , and after of two hours of conversation , we turned to become closest friends.

I offer to all of you some pictures of the meeting, or I should better called it “ The reunion” . 

Panagiotis you have my appreciation and love , even if you are surrounded by sea , hundreds kilometers away  .        

 

 Friday 26 of September , today I started the process , to make my new papers in order to get new license plate , and to become finally totally legal , I had pay all ready for the insurance against accidents .

Still there many things that I had to deal with , most of them,  had to do with the cosmetics of the motorcycle  .

Well I did long way until here , now everything will happen with less stress :-)

I did many things so far , when I came to the point, to replace the front fork boots , I crashed to a wall (way of speech)  .

The market is dry from the original ones , with this light green color .

I searched all EBAY , local shops , international shops ... nothing at all ... I was devastated .

I started to look for alternatives , looking at the modern motorcycles , the Yamaha XT was using one interesting plastic part as  boot dust shield .

So I finally got lucky , finding one set for motocross use , USD type , from UFO , so I convert them, and made my own prototype fork boots . 

 After of trial and error , later on , I sort them more  than  in this picture.
